Jeremy Rifkin is an American economic and social theorist, writer, public speaker, political advisor, and activist. Rifkin is the author of 21 bestselling books about the impact of scientific and technological changes on the economy, the workforce, society, and the environment, including his most international bestseller, The End of Work (1995) as well as his most recent The Global Green New Deal (2019). He has been an advisor to the leadership of the European Union since 2000 as well as the leadership of the Peoples Republic of China regarding sustainable low-carbon economy. He has been a lecturer at the Wharton School's Executive Education Program, at the University of Pennsylvania, since 1994. He instructs CEOs and senior corporate management from around the world on global trends in science, technology, and commerce, and their impacts on the economy, society and the environment.
